It was one of the most exciting projects we did in 2013: the official launch of the collaboration between the American rapper Lil Wayne and the French brand of watches & accessories Wize & Ope.
We had already collaborated with Wize & Ope for the The Baselworld Watch Fair in 2012 (Greyhound Bus). This time, we have been requested by its bosses to capture the coming in Paris of the rapper from New-Orleans! As a result, two intense days of shooting in the streets of the capital, in the official shop of the brand and in Bercy during the Weezy concert!
Wize & Ope’s choice was to produce a retrospective video of the event that highlighted this historical collaboration. It was also about insisting on the brand’s philosophy through the different places that symbolize capital’s both faces: the luxuous Paris and the underground one.
A sold-out concert during which our team was the only one authorized by the rapper’s entourage for the whole show with backstage access.
As a result: an advertising mini-film and two short edits, in which the brand’s creative and rapper’s philosophy are related by sceneries of Paris and pictures of the rapper in the city and on stage.
